About Ty

Tyler “Ty” Higham is 25 years old and currently lives in Orlando, FL. While his love for the water originated on the West Coast, he has been living away from home to pursue a career in wakeboarding since he was 12. His primary focus as a wake athlete is to be as creative, progressive, and original as possible (both freeriding and in contests). He has always tried to make his tricks unique; in fact, he even builds his contest runs to reflect the diversity and creativity that are at the core of his riding. He hopes to remain top 5 in the world rankings for years to come and his ultimate competitive goal is winning a World Championship.

“I grew up spending tons of time on the water with my family and those are some of my best childhood memories. I vividly remember when my dad brought home a new 2008 XStar for our family. It's a day I’ll never forget. We owned a few ski boats prior, but the XStar changed everything. I’ve always loved and respected the MasterCraft brand due to the quality of the product and their focus on progression. So pumped to be a part of the fam."
