Ilmor is MasterCraft’s exclusive partner for recreational marine engines. As a Penske Company, Ilmor has more than 30 years of experience in automotive racing. Enjoy more time on the water with the industry’s most responsive, robust, and reliable engines. New for 2025, all engines, except for the 6.0L, now include a fresh-air intake to boost power, enhance efficiency, and improve performance.
The 5.3L GDI HO (high output) replaces the 6.0L as the standard engine in NXT and XT models, providing superior performance and up to 15% improved fuel efficiency. *Some early MY25 NXT models will ship with the legacy 6.0L engine.
Built for saltwater excellence, the 5.3L GDI has a closed-cooled aluminum block. With 365 horsepower, it provides outstanding top-end performance. The 5.3L GDI is part of Ilmor’s gasoline direct injection engine series. With precise fuel injection technology, this high-tech engine maximizes fuel efficiency.
