Kirby Liesmann’s love for watersports started with wakeboarding and has grown into a lifelong passion for bringing people together on the water. As a professional wakeboarder, coach, competitor, and founder of Kirby’s School of Wake, he has spent much of his life on the water, but for Kirby, the tricks and accomplishments have never been the whole story.

Throughout his career, Kirby has had the opportunity to compete at the highest levels of wakeboarding. Competition continues to fuel his desire to progress as a rider, but some of his most rewarding moments now come from helping others experience that same sense of accomplishment, confidence, and progression.

What Kirby loves most about wakeboarding and wakesurfing is their ability to bring people together. The boat is a place to step away from everyday life, be present, have some fun, challenge yourself, and create shared experiences with the people around you. It’s where friendships grow, families connect, and memories are made.
