Alexa Score

Alexa Score is a professional wakeboarder turned TV host. She fell in love with watersports in small town, Spicer, Minnesota, where she competed on the Little Crow Water Ski Team and spent summers on the lake. At age 16, Alexa was diagnosed with Chronic, Myeloid Leukemia, a rare form of blood cancer, for which she received a grim prognosis. She battled the disease for many months amid uncertainty, until her blood counts and physical function began to stabilize. Alexa accredits dreaming about the water as what motivated her to keep fighting and got her through her darkest moments. The following year, she graduated high school early and moved to Orlando, Florida so she could be on the water year-round, and in 2011, she competed in her first pro wakeboard contest. After years of traveling the world as a wakeboarder, Alexa transitioned her career into television and now hosts national TV shows such as Made for the Outdoors (Sportsman Channel) and Destination Polaris (Bally Sports Networks), and is an on-air personality for the Minnesota Vikings, X Games, and numerous other outlets. She still takes a daily dose of oral chemotherapy to treat her Leukemia, which has kept the cancer at a low and “manageable’ level. Alexa uses her platform to raise money and awareness for blood cancers and other causes, volunteering hundreds of hours, speaking at events, and donating her time and resources to multiple organizations. She remains strongly tied to the watersports industry, appearing as a cohost of the Pro Wakeboard Tour broadcast alongside Parks Bonifay, and spending her summers on Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota. No matter where her journey takes her, Alexa will always consider the water her home.
