How to turn your summer boating minutes into donations for St. Jude through Surf to Save Lives campaign

June 12, 2025

Boaters on the Colorado River and Lake Havasu can turn their time on the water into lifesaving support for children fighting cancer.

MasterCraft Boat Company has launched the third year of its Surf to Save Lives campaign, inviting all boaters—not just MasterCraft owners—to log their water time using the MasterCraft Connect app. From May 23 to September 30, every minute logged behind a boat will generate a $1 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, up to $75,000.

The campaign unites the watersports community to back St. Jude’s mission of treating and defeating childhood cancer without ever billing families for care, travel, housing or food. Since 2023, the campaign has raised $225,000.

Krista Schipner, MasterCraft’s vice president of marketing, said the company is excited to continue a program that has made a tangible impact on families and communities.

Alexa Score, a childhood cancer survivor and professional wakeboarder, returns as the campaign’s spokesperson. She said she is inspired by how boaters nationwide have turned their passion into meaningful action.
