BOATING SAFETY WEEK WITH MASTERCRAFT | LOS ANGELES

KCAL News caught up with Krista Schipner, the VP of Marketing at MasterCraft, to provide boating safety tips and share information on MasterCraft. “MasterCraft would like to remind everyone this summer to boat responsibly and wake responsibly.”

Schipener recommends being considerate of those around you, it's your responsibility to operate your boat responsibly. This includes maintaining a distance of 200ft off shore to avoid disrupting shorelines or docks. Additionally, be mindful of the volume of your music and show respect to other boaters on the water.

You will need to make sure you are prioritizing your boats safety. “You want to make sure that you have a full tank of gas, so you do not get stranded anywhere. Of course, you’ll want your batteries charged as well and one cool thing about MasterCraft is that they have an app where you can check that out.” MasterCrafts latest technology makes it simple for you to access your boats health.

In addition to keeping your boat healthy, make sure you are keeping everyone on your boat safe.

One of the most popular on water activity is Wakesurfing. “We [MasterCraft] make sure we have the system ready to go; We [MasterCraft] use the SurfStar system. We just plug in how fast he needs to go and the wave creates itself.” Your surfer needs to be wearing a life vest, they need to have a rope made for surfing. When they fall, you need to have the orange flag up so other boaters are aware they are in the water.
