Anyone run #1100 fly high in original X30 locker?
I've currently got 750's in the lockers and there seems to be some head room to spare. Any one put the 1100s in there? I'm looking to improve my surf wake. I was thinking running the 1100 in the locker and repurpose the 750 to the bow seat and maybe run it about #300 with a full stock KGB. Thanks.

I haven't but am interested in the answer. Is your 750 causing the panel between the locker and engine to warp? Mine is and wondering what another 350# would do.

the #750 pushes the door in to the exhaust manifolds a bit. i added a some renforcement but i'm like you and wondering if the #1100 will make the door collapse on the exhaust manifold.

DIfferent boat, but the concept is the same. My 750s were pushing the door into the exhaust manifolds, so I added 2 stainless rods on each side for supports. I followed p-hat's thread from here:

They work fine for me, but here are the ones I copied from the wakeboarder.com post.

Ah, perfect, thanks much. Those are really helpful. No pics for me still... just one more thing to troubleshoot.

Talked to Wakemakers and ended up ordering an 1100. They're thinking it'll fill to about 1000 lbs as the X30 is a bit narrow for the 24" bag. Will update once I get it.

I use the 1100# in a 2007 X2. It fills all available room in the locker and under the back sit. Mine is the one from wakemakers, if I remember the size is 50"x24"x24". Take care there is two flyhigh 1100# on the market (I think the other one is 60x24x20). It is not important if the bag is not full the important is the room full :-)
I reenforced the black panel. I bought the bag and started using it over the factory tank (last year). A mount a go I removed the hard tank to solve the draining issues. |
