I am thinking the same thing. I planned to let the HVAC and and electricians do their thing then go in and add the blocking, some smurf tubing, etc. I am also planning to video tape each room while the walls are open so that I always have a reference as to where things are.

I also ran pvc conduit in a wall from the basement to the attic for any future wiring that may need to be done.

we actually blocked where the door knobs hit the wall when opened.... never had to refill the sheetrock from one of the kids swinging the door open too hard, but it would have been easier
it was scrap lumber anyway

Looks awesome Jeff!! I also took a bunch of pictures of all the open walls before they were covered so I knew what was in them. Darn thing was it was before my digital days and their stuffed in a box somewhere....

This is a very good idea. We took pictures of our wile building and it's unbelievable how many times we've gone back and looked at those pictures for reference of things.

Wish I could take credit for the idea but it came from several suggestions on this board...thank guys! It is cool to get input and while you can't incorporate everything, it certainly makes one think of things that they may have never considered.

How many square is the roof....35? With minimal gables/valleys and a reasonable pitch, a day is reasonable.

I am not exactly sure how many square but for some reason 35 or 40 sticks in my mind. I was amazed at the way they climbed up, down and all around that roof without any issue.....I would have wanted a giant safety harness and those big stuntman inflatable pillows all around the house to catch me when I fall.....even with that I doubt I would get up there!
