TPMS sensor

I have new-to-me 2017 Yukon, and will be getting a second set of wheels so that I can run Blizzak tires. I'm having fun looking for used wheels to go with some used tires I have, but I will need a set of TPMS sensors to install.

Any advice? Do I need genuine GM parts? Are aftermarket units acceptable?

Thanks!

Aftermarket will work, however, they can be even more than OEM.

I would try and find a set with them already installed, and sell the factory tires. Lessens the blow a bit.

Don't they have them at your tire store? They typically change them out when mounting tires so I'd think its some sort of generic TPMS monitor??!?

Of course the local tire place would love to sell me a set for $50 a pop. I've seen generic units on eBay at $57 for a set of four and wonder about the quality.

Hmmm. If there was only someone who frequents this site who knew something about tires...

POSt a link to the eBay ones. Id bet they are the same ones your tire place is selling you.

Whatever you buy will need programed or cloned to the your vehicle. You will need a tool or scanner to do that.
