Tracking / Rudder Issue??
Hey everyone looking for some help here. I'm having an issue with my 08 X2 when trimmed up all the way, once I hit about 38-40 the rear end wants to walk back and forth. I can feel what feels like cable slop almost bumping the steering wheel simultaneuosly with the loose tracking. When trimmed down all the way, no problem at all. Any input with this would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by "trimmed all the way up"? Trim tabs?

Does it need to be "trimmed all the way up?" I feel like if you are going that fast and it's stable with the trim tab down, there might be a reason for that.

Have someone move the rudder back and forth while you hold the wheel and see if there is a lot of play in there.

Haha thanks for the responses guys. I will try holding the wheel & having my wife wiggle on the rudder...in the garage on the trailer of course
By "trimmed up" i mean with the attitude plate up all the way...sometimes just being down 40% takes care of it, depends on load / water conditions. |
