Guys, how difficult is this Seadeck to install? Is this something you can DIY or should you have someone install?

Adding all of those to my order of 1-10 was going to push my seadek to a full sheet instead of a 1/2 sheet... which costs an EXTRA ~$200. I stuck with 1-10, especially since I wasn't sure what some of those pieces were for.

I'm planning on DIY. I think DIY is common but plenty of dealers/marinas will do it as well. Here are instructions from Seadek:

So it’s essentially a big sticker application, not too difficult it seems.

Took me just about 2 hours to do a new Seadek template, and 15 minutes to apply final product.

Big sticker application is correct. Preparation is key, I first scrubbed decks with soap and water, then either acetone or IPA for final prep. Others just clean thoroughly with glass cleaner. Wear socks and long pants to keep body oils off the decks prior to final application. In majority of cases, outline for application is the non-stick surfaces on your decks.

SD has good DIY videos. They also recommend scoring the protective paper in half over the sticky surface, temporarily taping one half of the SD sheet in place on decks, peeling and sticking second 1/2 in place, and then taped half second. Works well.

Well guys, it seems like MC got their panties in a bunch over Seadek selling you all kits for DIY. I reached out to Seadek and here is their note back.

Thank you for your interest in SeaDek. We do work with Mastercraft as an OEM and they may have a kit available for your boat. They have requested we direct all requests for kits 3 model years and newer directly to them. Please reach out to your local dealer or Mastercraft directly to inquire about a kit for your boat.

I ran into the same issue last year. I was told by Mastercraft that they would not sell me individual pieces so I contacted Seadek again and told them that and they finally helped me. Good luck to those wanting to purchase the complete kits but those who just want some individual pieces you should be ok.

I had the same issue. I asked my MasterCraft dealer if they would order the pieces for me but they said they are not a Seadek dealer. I called SeaDek back and gave them this information and they were happy to help at that point. Once I was past this point, it was easy to work with them to get the pieces I needed.
