Crest pontoons

Anybody bought one lately?

I am leaning towards ordering a 22' Crest 2 with an Easy Cover and Sea-Legs.

If anybody has comments on must have options, I'd love to hear them! Color recommendations, model/trim recommendations, I'd like to hear those too!

Had a new Crest dealer open on our lake a few years ago, or more specifically a current marina picked up the Crest line. Sold a ton initially, but have seen a lot of maintenance issues. They dont seem to be holding up well at all, with the vinyl deteriorating quickly. Also a lot of issues with getting warranty stuff done, but that may be the dealer. Knew a guy that bought one of their high-end models but we couldnt even fuel it because of the way the fuel hose was routed. IDK, maybe they have their issues sorted out now, but as someone who deals with pontoons daily, I would be hesitant on Crest. Most boats have their own little issues. Just seems to be inordinately high for them.

Our Crest dealer has been the #1 selling Crest dealer in the country for almost 20 years now. I haven't seen or heard of any maintenance or longevity issues with Crests.

I looked at an '05 Crest they just took on trade and it didn't have a single tear in the vinyl.

Txmc just picked up crest. Wow they’re nice, and expensive.

We’ve got a misty harbor and I’ve been really happy with the quality. Buying a pontoon was the best thing we did for the MC. Lol

I ended up ordering a 24' Crest 2.

Now play the waiting game. It'll take about 6 weeks.

The options I decided on were:

1. Sea Legs
2. Easy Cover
3. All white metallic exterior with black powdercoated rails (black rails standard on all Crests)
4. Gray interior with some orange piping
5. SLS floor plan (rear longer that flips to face forward or backward)
6. Gray vinyl teak floor
7. Dual batteries with switch
8. Hour meter
9. GPS / LOWRANCE HOOK 2-5 - Speedo - Fish Finder
10. Premium audio
11. Ski Tow Bar - Junior Beast Aluminum (won't be towing, just wanted it for a railing)
12. Charcoal flake console
13. Captains cooled drink holder (standard on all Crest pontoons)

Just a 60hp Mercury.

Was going to do a 50, but it was only $400 to go from 50 to 60.

Considered a 75 or 90, but that added $2k. I figured for the way this boat will be used, the 60 will be plenty.

We went with the 150 merc. No reason to not wanna go 40mph in a pontoon. Lol.

I’m beyond jealous of the easy cover. Any reason you didn’t do a tri toon? The difference is unbelievable. Wouldn’t even consider one that wasn’t a tri due to the ride.

I could've had a tritoon for what this one cost, but not with the legs and easy cover. I wanted this to be a lazy man's boat and I kept it under $60k.

This boat will not drive much. It will mainly go to the sand bar and sit on the sea legs.

Initially I was looking for a used $10k pontoon. Quickly realized you do not get much at that price.

But I agree with what you're saying, the ride with a tritoon is amazing. I wish I could've done a tritoon, but I drew the line right before that.

Had to google the sea legs thing. Man, that is the coolest thing Iíve seen in a while. Auto lift and auto cover lol
