I have used castrol transmax for the last 2 seasons and haven't had any issues. I switched to in because my hi temp light kept coming on. Transmax synthetic transmission oil handles the heat better and since changing I have not had a problem.

I use the Castrol Blend Dexron VI which is ok.
I have been told the same thing by PCM for their transmissions. Synthetic is apparently not appropriate for wet clutch transmissions.

Conventional Dex/Merc or DexIII is what I use- and I avoid high mileage formulations as well. Additives are bad for the transmission.

I used Synthetic in my 93 powerslot and my 2008 1:1 and I am happy with it ... I do change at regular intervals as advised by the manual.
Keep a tight line, and a smile on your face. Peace out.
