Except a larger HLCD like the 10" Rev-10 and Kicker KMT11 are the exception. Also worth noting the retired Wet Sounds Pro-485 and current Rev-410. Though not pro-axial HLCD, they are an HLCD setup.

I wish I could hear them somewhere to get first hand idea of what you mean by harsh screaming sound and of course how different the sound quality is from the Klipsch system...

has anyone tried these speakers? And how do they compared with Wetsounds and the typical 8.8" JLs or Klipsch?

They are an HLCD, and much larger, so not what you would want to compare to a coaxial like the 8.8. They are 11", so fair to compare to the Wet Sounds Rev-10, but not to any of the smaller 8" HLCD offerings.

My opinion of them, it was hard to believe you were listening to an HLCD. Job well done by Kicker.

thanks for the input and yes I understand they are not comparable with the coaxials, but still wanted to throw them in to get a comparison in sound quality. Really a pity that KICKER does not seem to offer a mounting adapter for MasterCraft or any other boat... just the standard clamp fittings.
