Right On, congratulations! Then I would want to keep her too. Can the service get her shipped mainland plus some basic storage expense reimbursement, and you otherwise handle arrangements and additional costs?

If you're that convinced on Oregon (beautiful State), then I would suggest calling Stancraft Oregon in Portland and ask for their help in prepping and storage. Alternatively, Seattle MC is also part of my dealer network. IME both are top notch MC dealers and most importantly, very knowledgeable service folks.

Be sure to have rodent protection- they can cause a mess and get in through the smallest of cracks.....

Disagree with most here. 3 years isnt that long. I've seen boats sit for much longer with no prep and not need anything more than a battery. Winterize it, cover it, and dont worry about it. Worst case scenario, you may have to get the vinyl redone if parked outside and the cover fails. No big deal in the long run

I don't think DOD will cover that shipping.

First I heard of "Bounce" dryer sheet for rodent protection. Works for mice?

If you do shrink wrap it make sure it has proper ventilation, humidity mildew and mold might be your biggest enemy on 3 years of storage.
p.s. I've put bounce in my RV for years, seems to keep the mice away to some extent.

I've heard this for years, but I have read from members here that they had rodent problems even with dryer sheets strewn all over the boat.

Are CSX's rarer in Hawaii or Oregon? Are they more $ in Hawaii or Oregon...
