But they were boats all over the place with "sold" on them, and the dealer said they were making deals

I went at noon on thursday when it opened to avoid the weekend crowd. The show is bigger than it has been in recent years. Unfortunately, I think attendance is going to be hurt because of the weather. Winter storm warning from 4pm today until 4 am monday. Up to a foot of snow, wind gusts to 40 mph and wind chill to -15. Glad I went thursday.

I was at the Atlanta show last weekend and it was packed.
Surprised to see so many boats in the posts above with carpet. I didn't think many people were still doing that. I think everything I saw at the ATL show was SeaDek in all the major manufacturer wake boats. |

I ordered my 2019 Xstar with the basic carpet as I hope to score a deckadence mat from an owner that will upgrade to SEADEK or I will order custom SEADEK myself as the factory Seadek patterns are not to my liking. They make the floor pieces too large and I am not a fan of the grey in a white boat. I would like to go with black and grey or Black and red instead. I loved my deckadence in my 2015 X23, but was not willing to pay that much for it.

Looks like the cycle with entry level boats is heading towards it's historical trend.
Company makes entry level boat to draw in first time buyers with stripped down, no frills models. Customers flock to new entry models but find themselves wanting more. Traditional model owners don't consider new model line "real brand" models. Due to demand more content is added to entry level models, boats are offered with more standard and available options from premiere line, price goes up. Cycle continues until it's both boats are offered and equipped with near the same features at near the same price. Company combines model lines and we're back to the same price for either line of boats. Not saying this is bad and the pictures of the new NXTs look really good but I bet you the prices when optioned out are creeping up quickly on the base premiere line of boats. I've seen this trend more than once in my years with various manufactures. |
