MarkP, it is an 04' F150 FX4 4x4. 300 hp with 373 rear gears. I can get on the on ramp and gun it (with the boat) and will be doing 73mph when I hit the Interstate. Now that my friend is pulling. I work in the oilfield (where trucks are put to the test) and 95% of the companies run Fords. That says alot. My company truck is an 04' Ford F150 4x4 with 355 rear gears and it will not run with the 373 rear gears. But be sure you get the Triton 5.4 V8.

This is what the ramp looked like when I pulledthe dock, the water was about 7 feet abouve normal level. 5 days earlier it was 6 feet higher than this. Lots of mud to shovel this coming spring.

Brad, That’s one of the trucks that Ive been considering. I need a smaller truck with more room. I may trade my 94 F250 this year. I’m dragging my feet to see if transmission issues develop with the 04 Fs. I know first hand of the transmission issues with the 04 Explorer.

Sold my 99 F250 Super Duty Diesel (smart move) and bought a 99 Suburban 1500 (even smarter move). Then I threw Add-A-Leaf's under the rear end & heavy duty shocks. Next was some good mudders & now she's a towing rig!

Granted, it's not quite as nice as my F250 Diesel, but then again, it doesn't require nearly as many wrenches as my FORD did.
