Pennzoil Ultra Platinum

What's everyone's take on Pennzoil Ultra Platinum made from Natural Gas instead of crude oil? Better than other synthetic oils like Mobil-1, Royal Purple, & Castrol?

Jury's still out for me on this. I am curious to know how they rendered the natural gas down to an oil.

Didn't know there was a problem with the other brands of synthetics that needed a solution. I say marketing ploy. Lets see.... on Amazon, 1Qt. Mobil 1, $5.88, 1qt Pennzoil Platinum, $10.43, hmmmm, I wonder which one I should go with???

if you ever have an oil question google "bob is the oil guy 'oil brand type xxx'" those guys are insane about oils. anyway looks like they are having pretty good luck with it however if the engine gets hotter than normal (not really sure what that temp is) it does something bad. anyway I would read up on it over there.

I wouldn't use Pennzoil period - that being said, there is nothing special about any oil/vapors coming off gas in the oil field. If there was, we'd siphon it off and use it in our own diesel engines or turbines. But, marketing is marketing.
Oil is very subjective...so choose your own and deal with the benefits or consequences
