New to tow boats

Hello, Iím new into the the wake/ surf boat scene and am currently on the search for a boat. We looked at a left over 2018 x23 which seemed to be well optioned and we liked it. The dealership is trying to move this left over model and is priced at what many 2016 and 2017s used boats are going for. My questions are how is the surf wake on the x23, and what would be the deal sealing price you guys would pay for the boat, considering the model has been discontinued in 2019?

Surf wake it great, people wont talk exact numbers on here except in PM's, so most everything you can get advice wise is going to be a certain % off of MSRP.

X23 is a tremendous surf boat. Make sure it has the 6.2L powerplant. Plenty of threads here to search around for feedback. Post up the detailed configuration/options list for more input from this board.

Generally, leftover new boats from 2018 are -28%-30% off sticker/MSRP. Also recommend you check the classifieds here on Team Talk, there are 2-3 low hour X23s with great configurations in the $110K - $120K asking range with a one-time transferable warranty to your benefit.

Below are just a few recent TT X23 listings:

Welcome to the tow boat club, you won’t look back and will put way more hours on her than if it was just a runabout.

The X23 is a fantastic boat. I have a 2015 with 300 hrs. and I have zero reason to upgrade.

The regular stock surf wave is perfect from the factory and the goofy while it is good, requires alot additional weight off set to get the most out of it.

If you can get a good deal on an X23, I would take it and run and never look back.

Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions about the boat.

Like Moose said, don't get anything less than the 6.2L in this boat.

Here is a link new 2017 carryover XT23 with a sell price, but itís a 5.3.

The dealer lost or surrendered the MC franchise last fall.

Love that color. There's another carryover in South Louisiana that's 96k, also with the 5.3L

I love my 2018 X23. It's plenty big. Surf's unbelievable. Handles the chop. To this day I argue that it was discontinued because it was too popular and cannibalized other more expensive boats in the MC lineup.
