What surprised me the most was the surf wave. We didn't surf it stock, but we put 120 pounds of lead in each rear locker (240 total) and about 600 pounds of lead midship - equally split between the two sides. Sounds like a lot, but total its only about 3,500# of ballast which is not crazy for a 25 foot boat.

The stock surf setting only has the front tank 50% full, but we ran it at 100% since we put the extra lead in the back. Stock surf tab setting was 40 or 45% but we ran it at about 20%. no center tab.

General consensus was that it was one of the bigger waves any of us have ever ridden. I was driving - so i didn't get any pics, but I will see if any of the other guys did.

Long story short - you will be very happy with the boat. Don't be afraid to tweak the settings.
I have heard similar reports. I'm glad that was your consensus. A lake buddy of mine has a 2018 25' Bu and the wave is insanely good.

My son didnít have school today and we are expecting a foot of snow this weekend so we drove over to the lake today to check the boat out.

Bad move. Its way better in person. The fit and finish is incredible. It was all i could do to not go find a patch of open ice and put her in. Its going to be a very long month before I can get her out on the lake.

All the people at the marina were checking it out.

Thanks for all great comments

That boat will be awesome on West! That lake is like a bathtub on the weekends with all the waves from other boats.

My grandparents had a place on Upper gar and my college roommate has a place on little Emerson bay.

Question, have you slalomed behind it, and if so what did you run? I know its not going to be anything like a pro star, but i wanna gauge how it compares to my 06 x30. I want to upgrade the space sometime in the future, but not sure i can sacrifice skiing.

Xt25

This is our 2018 XT25 that we bought towards the end of 2018. We are down at Norris Lake in TN. Couldn't be happier with the layout of this boat - room and room to spare. Surfed stock so far but working on additional ballast for 2019. Boat surfs stock great. I have also slalomed behind it, and it was as good if not a little better than our 2001 X30. Key is to get up in the 34 mph range, toy with the center tab to get the foam you are looking for, and then toy with rope lengths. It is a soft wake. Keep in mind at 92 gallons of gas better to not have that full either! I am in the same boat and not willing to give up the slalom ski, and this was the perfect solution. If anyone has any questions on the boat if they are looking at 2019's I am more than happy to answer. We did the 6.2.
