Setting up a new to me Skylon
Guys, I bought a used Skylon brand pylon extension. I cant figure out why it has a pin through the lower section without having a hole in the upper section to pin it together. What am I missing?

OK so looking at more pictures on the web and looking at the wear pattern on the upper I believe the pin is just a stop for the upper section. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Thanks that gives me more confidence. I'm not crazy about Skylon only using 1 small cable. The doubled cable that the Fly High's use seems more sturdy.

It looks like you're missing the plastic webbing sleeve that goes on your pylon to protect it from getting scratched.

You can get the sleeve at McMaster- https://www.mcmaster.com/plastic-sleeves
Pretty sure I have a leftover piece at home. Color is red, and it fit the pylon of my 88. It's yours if you want it. G |

Bit of both but I wouldn't use it without or you'll scratch up your pylon.

Gweaver, I will take it along with new switch panels for my 88 Prostar. Let me know how much you need. Thanks
