Not true, the bobv5 work on the small part of the hull below the decals, suction cups used are fine in that space.

^Yes correct. I meant of the current ones on the market.
Looks like I'll just have to build a bobV5.
Too bad, I donated one of those shower handle suction cup deals recently.

I tried the BobV. I saw improvement on my 06, but still not enough but i was also not totally sac'd out. The problem i had was it kept falling off. I couldn't get it to stick well with the hull being stepped like it is.

Sylvan wave shaper from amazon, cheap and made the wave much longer and the push is amazing!! I only run 250lbs in the front and 400lbs in each rear locker.

I just got all excited until I saw you don't have the same hull...

We have used it on a centurion, malibu wakesetter and a malibu response and did amazing. It smaller than most and it could fit on your hull.

^ Hmm, couldn't find specs for it.
The 2 areas it would work are only 3" tall before another step in the hull.
Would you mind measuring actual suction cup diameter?

I’d attach an 06 X30 to it for a better surf wake.

Aren't the X2 and X45 similar hull designs? They both have the rounded shape as the hull tampers down. I was told by numerous retailers there wasn't a shaper that would fit my boat but I was able the make the Swell wakeshaper stick. They were shocked as well but it works. I have to mount a little higher than I would like but a little extra ballast sinks it below the water line underway. If you don't feel like taking a chance of it not working and having to ship it back we could probably arrange a time to test fit mine on your boat.
