My guess is it must be causing a short somewhere. Maybe touching another wire inadvertently...? I spoke with a guy that used the boat before I bought it, and he said for sure the NAV/ANC lights worked. The dealership said the lights were corroded and wanted a ridiculous amount to replace them. So, I replaced them myself, but the problem still exists. Now, when I turn the Nav lights on, they flash on and then immediately the fuse blows. The same thing happens when I switch on the Anchor light on. I confirmed the wiring on the switch is correct (all stock). So I am guessing the wires from the tower to the fuse is grounding somewhere? Or maybe the switch is bad, but then why would the lights flash before shorting out?
I'm no mechanic, but I can change a part.
