If I understand correctly, for 2019 the GDI motors only are 7 years 1000 hour warranties. The remainder of the boat is the 5 year bow to stern. Thatís pretty incredible!

All,

I'm still looking for an '18 Star. Unfortunately I missed out on 440's sweet boat. Timing is everything. Anyway, there is a 50th Star on onlyinboards that is a saltwater series boat. Low-time (63 hrs.) and seems to be a deal. Waiting on a build sheet. I confirmed it has been in saltwater but pulled after each use and dealer maintained.

My question for the group is how would you view this boat in the future being a SS AND has been in salt. I'm freshwater only so I'm trying to figure out if I can get a good enough deal on the front side to offset any negatives on the backside if I ever sell. Realistically this will probably be my last boat.

TIA,

Chris

If that is 50th number 1 Its a very well maintained boat.. South Florida MC has one for sale also. That boat has not been used enough to do any damage .

One season in salt, 63 hours, with confirmation it was pulled and flushed after every use wouldn't bother me a bit. And an anniversary boat makes it even more sweet.

Thanks for the input guys. After reviewing the spec sheet I decided to pass on this one. It was missing some things the wife really wanted like sunpad seating, heater, and heated seats. I think I couldíve gotten her to overlook the heater but sunpad seats are a deal breaker. On to the next opportunity!

I'll second that and vouch for South Florida MC's work. They've got #1 for sale and I've seen it in person and it's immaculate. Juan Pablo Montoya was the prior owner if I recall right.

There's a 50th at Dockside in Houston sitting on triples with only 25 hours on it. However the dealer has a ridiculous $215k price tag on it.

It's 38/50

The one at Dockside is so sweet. Has the big motor too. Spared no expense and they are VERY proud of it as reflected in the asking price. I'm looking for a good deal - good to me means good for me and the seller. I'd like to think I'm fair but $215k for that boat can't be much less than the MSRP. Does anyone really pay MSRP???

Thanks for the replies and if anyone hears of a 50th or otherwise well-optioned, low-time '18 Star feel free to post here or shoot me a PM.

Chris
