I've been following this thread and reading your replies. My bro and sis-in-law are on their third Electrolux refrigerator, the big nice deep stainless steel one with the ice/water in the door. It is one problem after another and they are done with them. They are in a conundrum with what to replace it. According to what you have put on here, whatever one they like best since they are all crap, right?

we have jenn air it's absolute crap.
We bought a Wolfe 6 burner gas cook top about 2 years ago. zero issues to date.

We did a complete kitchen addition/remodel and updated all appliances. We installed a dishwasher, microwave and 2 ovens (not a double oven) all from Bosch. Also have a Samsung fridge (without the fancy screen). All of those have worked fine to this point.

We have a Bosch dishwasher at the lake that has been there for about 4 years and it has worked well too. We really like the Bosch dishwashers at this point.

I was specifically referring to lead shot used in shotguns, not pipes, not paint, not fishing sinkers. As far as the eagles I call B.S. Our last 20 year old Frig------- refrigerator was finally retired ONLY because I could not get any parts for the icemaker, and it would leak water all over. Fridge and freezer sections worked just fine and had never had any repairs during the time we owned it. Bought a Samsung which does fine now, but I'm just waiting to see....

As for lead...if you can't find the sources that show acute effects related to brain and also kidney health in relation to lead, I dunno what to say. Eliminating lead in many products was a net good (and using it in gasoline was a lazy solution in the first place). Yes it is used in old piping and infrastructure, but calcification of those pipes protects against lead contamination....until you change water sources to a source that has a different pH level and starts affecting the calcified layer *cough*Flint*cough*. Some one above mentioned eating paint chips, well, have you ever absentmindedly chewed on a pencil? Those are covered in paint and are regularly around peoples' hands/faces. I can't believe I'm arguing about the existence of lead poisoning.

Anyone who is a public figure/celebrity is going to be hamming it up for money. I don't see how that's relevant as you shouldn't be using those people as a source anyway. That's like saying Jenny McCarthy and her idiotic viewpoints on vaccinations are worth anything.
