Hello all! New member here, so thought I would introduce myself, post some pics of my baby, and say Hi. I picked up a 1988 Prostar 190 Platinum edition not too long ago in great condition, and have put some serious work into it and is now almost completed. I am absolutely in love with this boat and has become an obsession! lol. Just kidding. I am currently in the process of finishing up the electrical by doing a full rewire, adding a second battery with blue sea ARC, and higher amperage alternator with supporting cables to support my monster stereo i just added.

I installed the Aerial Wakeboard tower to free up space in the boat and to add tower speakers to blast when towing, plus i love the way it made the boat look! I tow my wife and kid with the tower. However, because i am a husky dude to say the least (weight trainer)... i feel more comfortable being towed from the ski pylon, as i am self-conscious my weight will crack the fiberglass at the mounts. depending on the season i weigh between 250-275 and like to cut extremely hard when being towed. though i reinforced the heck out of the mounting points with 1/4" aluminum, 1/2" marine grade plywood and caulking i still worry lol. The extended pylon has not let me down yet!

Anyway, I look forward to gaining additional insight and knowledge from fellow mastercraft enthusiasts on this forum as I already have a lot of questions regarding engine/trans and other such items. Happy boating all!
