going to drill out all of the existing buttons and replace them due to the limited availability of used single line gauges and cost for new ones.

Fail. upon drilling out for the new on/off button I took out the up and menu buttons. Looks like the common is daisy chained down the line from the on/off button to the up/menu button.

when you test the leads, were you using paperclips as a contact point to attach the mutlimeter to and then hitting the gauge buttons until you saw a voltage change?

zsqure - what tools did you use to separate the gauge faceplate from the housing? Is it glued together? I'll be doing this from a remote location so I want to make sure I bring everything I need....

Thank you. Thanks for reiterating continuity, for some reason I thought you had done this for the on/off switch, even though it was clearly stated that it was the up button.
