Hello GoresBF200 and Newman! I also have a 95 BF200 w Yamaha Vmax 225 HPDI. I'm getting bad side spray on the boom and a noticeable "V" spray coming off the engine. I've been told that it's do to the weight of the engine versus the stock ProV200 engine. Did you guys ever resolve this issue? did you try to raise or lower the engine on the transom ? I was recently told to try to add lead weights to the bow to bring it down. I'm not sure if that will just sink the boat deeper into the water causing more spray?
Do you know how much more these 225s weigh vs the old pro V 200?

    thanks in advance!

Does anyone know for sure what the transom of a 92 BF200 is? Looks like wood to me..but I thought after 83 they didn't use any structural wood?

    Hey Weeman

I have a 95 as well. I put a 2007 Vmax 225hp on it. I am struggling with the chine spray. The motor is much heavier than my old 95 pro V. That has something to do with mine. I can only go up one more bolt hole but I feel that would be stressing out the transom too much. I could be wrong but I wont want to take a chance. For boom sets I bought a $100 boom extension.

hello all, new to the forum and club and saw a post within (some time back) wondering about a cover for their bf200. I had one custom made (in 2012, 1995 BF 200 96 proV 200 Yami) through a canvas company referred to me by MasterCraft Boats of Chicago the cover is awesome, great straps all the way around, great snub cord around cover to back which has a ratchet hook which really can tighten it down, almost no need for straps (though for trailering in bad weather) has sewn in pocket for cover rain pole, reinforcements over windshield, I used a fabric they describe as Outdura, top of the line, sunbrella like, maybe better cost $1,200 not cheap for the baby but worth it. Mine is also purple, matches the boat nicely I called them and they dont have a pattern, they make all the covers custom they are in the chicago area, chain o lakes. United Canvas, 25434 W Rt 173, Antioch, IL 60002 PH 847 395 1470 hope this helps as a lead or at least an idea of top of the line custom cost i still have my old one, (use it to cover new cover in heater storage), which they repaired (not part of 1200 price), so keep that mine, canvas company could certainly improve, fix existing covers
    Safe boating

I will be selling my 91 Mastercraft Barefoot 200 this spring. I am looking to determine what it is worth. It seems that because of the rarity of this boat that the price fluctuates quite a bit. With you all being barefoot 200 guys I thought you all might have some better insight than the average Mastercraft guy. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I have posted the boat in the whats it worth forum as well. Here are a few specifics on the boat. The boat has a 2001 Yamaha VMAX 200 with 160 hours on it. Included is the Bimini top, ski pylon extension, and barefoot boom. The boat is in great condition for the age. It does have a few seams pulling apart on the back seat, but no rips in the upholstery. I am located in Oklahoma City. Below are a few pics but there are more on the other listing.
