After review of the play. It took the front of the boat from it's position on the camera to reach out of frame about 5 seconds, it only took him about 3 seconds. I would say he caught up within a minute of the footage.

back to boating

This was actually on Lake Austin. The fire department was called and waited on him down stream. Man and boat were retrieved safely last I heard. The current is moving so quickly here due to a record number of floodgates being opened at top of the lake, and the lower dam being opened as well. Hoping to have the lakes open again mid-late next week...

That doesn't answer our question......Did he catch up and get it? also did he remember his keys before jumping in?

As long as the tube was saved, it was worth it.

It wasn't that guy's boat, it was my neighbors 8 miles upstream! I saw the video last week, but I didn't say anything because I assumed the fire dept would have looked up the registration and contacted my neighbor.

Ironically my neighbor just realized today his boat and jetski were missing.

I don't know what that guy would have done had he caught up to the boat as I doubt it had the keys in there.
