Anyone have a good part number for a fuel sender on an '02 Xstar? Mine has gone bad, fuel gauge reads full constantly, disconnect sender and it drops to empty. Ground out the pink wire on the harness and the gauge sweeps back to full.

Existing sender is a centroid type 3 wire Moeller P/N 395077 and has the following on the sticker: 205v & Xstar2001 CGF-8.25-12v-CPMDC-NO DAMP-MP3 7/01

The tube on the sender measures 8 1/4" in length.

I cannot find anything on the 395077 part number. Anyone else replaced their sender? Any idea what part number you used?

Thanks!!

This is probably what you need. Their will also be two set screws that you will need a micro screwdriver to calibrate. https://mcpartsdepot.com/collections/mastercraft-fuel-system/products/sender-fuel-205v-x2-05-x1-06-07-tank-1552821-155320

That wouldn't work, it's specific to the 05-07 years. As Mastercraft changed the digital gauges several times through the years, the fuel senders were different as well.

You can get the correct one by ordering through here or contacting Centroid directly: http://www.waterskis.com/MasterCraft-OEM-Fuel-Sender-p/fuel_sending_unit.htm

Personally, I would take this as the time to eliminate the digital gauges and go with a regular WEMA fuel sender. More information can be found in the MMDC delete threads.

looks like this is the correct one from mcpartsdepot.com:

Replacing the sender is simple...deleting the MMDC is quite a bit more involved. So far I'm not having any issues with the MMDC so I will likely wait until it starts flaking
