Does anyone have a photo or know the factory location for the switch for the underwater lights on a NXT22? I found the OEM switch online, I just need to know the correct place to put it. This will be my first project when I pick up my boat in 2 weeks.

And quick vote, SeablazeX or Starfish Mini....

Thanks

Is it the switch or the whole panel with the dimmer?

I would say just the switch, the description did not say anything about a dimmer. Plus, MC is only charging me 40 bucks (for a 3 dollar switch), a dimmer would put it into the hundreds. Haha

Definitely. If it was the whole panel it would be in the hundreds. The OEM switch location was on the panel however, or at least in the X series. I'd recommend doing something like this if you have any blanks anywhere. When I did my speaker rings the switch by itself wasn't for sale and I didn't want the whole panel so I just picked up an FWD switch and used it. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170417/c27c6dc0797436f99babddba35560523.jpg

Where are you buying the switch from? For $40 I might switch it out.

There are not any empty spots on the NXT series. I was thinking that maybe it mounts next to the armrest? MC Parts Depot for the switch, part number 500373 (no picture)

Unless you had another factory installed option (Heater, etc) you will most likely need to buy one of these switches (not my picture). I had the heater factory installed and they mounted one of the switches in the picture slightly below and forward from the throttle. Bdaley has some great pics of his NXT in this thread https://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=73932&page=2

Yes, I did get the factory heater. So, it should be easy to pop this switch in. I am glad that I don't have to break out the jigsaw. I am nervous enough about drilling holes in my brand new boat.

You will have two extra blank switch plates next to the heater switch and can save the $350 fleecing for the switch assembly. I am going to use my 2 opening for LEDs and Interior lights. I am going to add LED interior lights on my 2 blank tower speaker "pucks"

SteveO - dont want to hijack this thread so start a new one with pics etc when you put LED's in the 2 blank tower speaker - I had not thought of that - could be real nice

SeaBlaze X over Mini Starfish no doubt. The Seablaze X has a longer warranty and has the thermo protection so they can run out of water.

Good idea on the extra switch location.... sounds like I have my spot for led speaker rings also... thanks, I was leaning towards the seablaze x...
SteveO, what LEDs are you going with?

Here are some pictures from my SeaBlaze X install on Prostar 190. Using 3M 4200 Sealant.
Still need to apply the sealant and screw them in, just testing now before I finalize the install.

Looks great. Did you have trouble with the gel coat chipping while you drilled the holes?
