Does anyone know where I can get pins to remake the connections on this plug or a part number for the whole plug for my mcx engine throttle body? My sundeck platform plastic trey has rubbed the insulation off and I have exposed wire. I have an 05 x2. Local dealer was no help.

Do you have a close up picture of the exposed wire? What if you coated it in something like this liquid electrical tape (https://www.amazon.com/Shoreline-Marine-Liquid-Electrical-Tape/dp/B007PKBCAA)?

Majority of parts on these boats are all GM based, just need to find what truck motor they pulled them from.

Went by a chevy dealer and got an ac Delco part number. They wanted 180 bucks for an 8 pin plug and it had all white wires. Got on flea bay and found my specific year plug with the same colored wires for 15 bucks. Yeah baby!

Here is the damged wires from the plastic sunpad tray. This sunpad is definately the weakest link on the boat. Very dissapointing that I did not spot this on the initial inspection when I bought the boat. The whole pad will have to be redone with 1 inch starboard and I will also install a 1 inch square cross bar across the middle of the engine to prevent sagging of the new sunpad. This pad should be able to hold atleast 500 pounds or two grown men and mastercraft failed to adress this.

You can also seenwhere the throttle body is mashed everytime the sunpad is stepped on. You can also see where the wires are being mashed too. I have seen many other 205v's with the same indentations that have the larger mcx engine. This engine is just to big for the space. After im done with the new platform and cross brace it will be bullet proof. Time to bust out another thousand!

All I'd do on this is depin the wires from the connector and double shrink wrap them at the bar point and then repin it. Then figure out what to do about the deck rubbing it.

I agree. If he puts in the new plug before fixing the sunpad, it may rub through again and then he'll be back to square one.

https://www.eficonnection.com/ will have the pins you need. IIRC they are delphi metri pack 280.
