My pier is already in the water! Lifts should go in next week when they get the barge in the water. Already told my dealer to prep the box - wash, wax and detail. And no, can't wax the boat myself. Don't even know how to attach the trailer to the truck! Very early boating this year

What lake and where in N WI? I can't get an answer from anyone up north about our lake. I did however swap the snowmobile trailer and sleds for the Prostar today. It's in the garage...waiting...

It has been a while since the boat ramp bloopers thread has had a good post.

We're on the Chain in Three Lakes and I heard the channels are opening due to current and some shore lines arond some piers are opening as well. The stained water helps to soak up some warmth.:)

I'm on Lake Delavan, about 11 miles west of Lake Geneva. Geneva is open as well and some piers are already in. People were already out, albeit only a few.

As for launching the boat, no f-cking way! My wife would divorce me once I sank her Rover in the lake.

Lac La Belle between Milwaukee and Madison had a skier yesterday

because I find that it's extremely difficult to surf and ski off of a kayak. they don't seem to have as much horsepower etc. as a boat. but that's just my take.

I only saw a few smaller boats on my lake, probably for fishing. no skiing yet but probably within a week or two when it warms up a bit. bet that water is still freeeeeezing!

krispian - love Brown lake. We looked at a house there when we bought our house in Delavan. You probably know the house, it's located right next door to some cool restaurant that has outside seating a bands on the weekends on the back deck. The house was adorable. But we decided against it specifically because of the weekend band issue. We like to make our own noise!

Yes the restaurant is called the waterfront. We go there a lot with the kids and order pizza and sit on our boat and listen to the band. Its fun. The only down side of that bay is its very shallow and muddy.
