Hello all you Mastercraft nuts! I picked up a 1996 Prostar 205 late last week. I have to say after reading this forum for the past few days I feel like i know alot more about my boat than I would have learned in five years of ownership and no internet, thanks to everyone for the pics and experiences so we dont all have to reinvent the wheel (and waste some money). The boat is in decent shape considering she wasnt treated like the queen that she really is. So far I have only cleaned the interior, that alone took all weekend with me taking breaks to stare at her. I havent taken her out yet since purchase, all my life jackets and boating equipment are in my houseboat down at Lake Cumberland, KY and I had plans this weekend already. I am going to ride her "as is" for the summer and plan on major updates this winter including all new interior/carpet, tower, stereo and possibly dash redo. I look forward to continue my learning. I will post pics of the day I brought her home.

Congratulations on the new boat!

I keep my boat at LCK also, we will be down at Conley this weekend.

I am at Conley also with our houseboat ('87 Somerset) for 3 years. Finally got me a nice ride to park outside. This summer is going to be epic for my wife and two young daughters! I live outside of Spfld. LCK has been the paradise of the midwest since I was learning to ski out of Burnside 30 years ago! You tow yours down or leave it there all season? I see a ton of MC on 75-S every weekend from the Ohio Navy. PM me your phone or something, I am excited to learn from you all, but especially with some cold beers in hand with someone who is wearing a buckeyes hat.

I have a cabin off Cumberland Ridge Rd, 3 miles from Conley. I boat stays in storage unit down there most of the year.
We almost always launch at Conley and head over to Faubush Creek.

Are you going down this weekend?

Sounds like the same one. The guy that had it two years ago was a young kid and it was a mess when I looked at it. He said that it belonged to a ski school in Columbus before he had it. I think I have the craigslist photos still. I will post them if I find them.

Great looking boat! I love that majority white color. I miss mine. BTW, your signature says 1996 209, instead of 205.

Yeah it is painful watching the snow on the webcam at the houseboat all winter. Thanks, I figure it is good to beat the crap out the old interior for the first summer, then hit the reset button.
