View Full Version : Winter/Spring Additions, Finally boating season!!

After a very easy winter of buying all of the upgrades/additions and a very long couple weeks this spring of installing/adding everything my boat is ready to enjoy the summer season (unfortunately no garage to work in during the winter).

Figured I would list everything and add some pictures. Don't mind the carpet or interior, the last step before it goes in this weekend is a full interior cleaning and carpet cleaning.

Started half of the reupholstering project, all of the seat bottoms and 2 rear lockers (engine cover is in good enough condition to wait)

A solution to the front and rear tweeter holes in the 02 xstar (without any drilling etc)

Surf rack that hopefully will not damage any fragile boards

New MB8 drivers and covers

Replaced wakeboard rack finger grips

Added ws-420sq, 3rd amp for subwoofer, swapped Syn2 for Syn 4 (for tower speakers), added a 3rd battery and 2nd switch, new head unit, wireless remote, and shore charger to the audio system

Homemade 12" subwoofer LED grille/ring

Refurbished teak deck and custom decals

I also added the piggy back bow ballast bag in the front, made a homemade drain plug LED (started a separate thread on that), new pins for the teak deck, and a few other things I am forgetting.

I cannot wait to dock her for the summer this weekend!! (Dock is currently being fixed as it was destroyed by the ice this winter....)

Looks great. I'm putting mine in the lake this week too. Love all the additions you did, but my electrician's OCD is stressing over the electrical connections. Don't take offence, but I want to spend half an hour in there with some tie wraps to neaten that up.

Yeah that needs to get done, I agree, finishing everything else up before I go back in and zip tie all of the wires up.

Nice work. Did you do the upholstery work yourself? Be sure to take some pics of your underwater LED when you get it in the water.

Upholstery work was done by a local kid. I was surprised how inexpensive he was and the quality is amazing, I am very impressed.

I will get pics the first night it's in.

Nice work. Where did you find the replacement wake board rack finger grips?

I actually just bought some rubber cord from McMaster. It was pretty inexpensive and all I did was cut to length, add slope to each end for easy board access, and silicone them in.

Looking good! That wrap would be a pain to get off!!

My full boat wrap? Yes I am not looking forward to that...thankfully it is in good condition and hopefully it will last a while before I even have to think about doing that.
