Does anyone else have the ZFT4 tower and have issues with closing the levers down when raising or lowering the tower? One side wants to lock in fine and the other is super difficult to get to engage at times, I don't want to force it. Is there a fix or adjustment for these?

Sounds like a warranty issue. I was on a demo 2014 that 1 side was very tight almost scraping feel on port side lever.

Is the boat sitting level, my driveway leans a bit, on one side it is a bit stiffer than the other, on level ground it's fine. Try just lifting a bit on the tower to take a little pressure off the clamp.

Mine is the exact same way.

+1 Same here. I also took mine apart on both sides and added a lithium based lubricant to make this a little easier. I always press on the tower in one direction or the other to relieve pressure on the clamp as well.

So pressing up or side to side can relieve the issue? How difficult is it to take apart and lubricate??

I wouldn't care so much if I didn't have an OVER the tower cover and need to put it down every time I put the boat up for the night on the slip.

Knox I haven't yet, this weekend. Still have a little dialing in to do as well!

On a positive note. I personally don't have any issues with the tower. Smooth both ways. I love it.

Do you guys with the ZFT4 tow your boat with the tower in the up position or the down position? Any reasons not to tow it in the down position?

Down, keeps the bugs off

Always down here, even for short trips.

Always down. Unless I wanted to kill bugs or wack down tree limbs.
