Well, the ice came off our lake yesterday around 10am. I was disappointed it took us so long to hit the water, but we were on the lake and wakeboarding by 3.

Since moving to the lake 10 years ago, this is about he latest I can remember the ice coming off. We got in our first ride and the water was a toasty 45 degrees (it did warm up to 46 over the day)! No riding pics but here is a pic of the water temps.

I thought you had an x30, why are you in a moomba?

Good eye mcLove. My best friend has a 2012 Mojo and we take turns with the boats. We couldn't wait for our lake to thaw so earlier this week we took the day off and took my X30 out for the first ride of the season on one of the smaller lakes nearby. Has an amazing day, water was glass and was actually pretty warm (58). We all came home with some sunburns. My son who is 5 had to be the first one out there, so here is a pic of him.

For the record, each year the recovery time after that first wakeboard gets longer and longer. For the first 2 days after we rode, I could barely walk, but it was worth it!

45 isn't as bad as it sounds. ;)

Very true, especially since most of us northern people have not ridden for 8 months. We start our season the day after the ice melts.
