Do any of you get an alarm during start up, like a one minute steady alarm and then will not come back on after the one minute.

Not a one minute steady alarm, but my 2000 205V did it only when cranking over but would stop after a few seconds.

Could be low oil pressure alarm until oil pressure is 5-10 psi

maybe low voltage until the battery catches up a bit?

Honestly think its just a test. It shouldn't last a minute though

I got it on my old star from time to time...if I would toggle the little switch that changed the digital display it stopped immediately. I think it was from low voltage at start up

Put a battery charger on the night before you use it again and see if the alarm goes away. I'm betting low voltage.

I just had a new oil pressure gauge installed with new sending unit. I ended up having the marina help me finish it up as I could not figure out the wiring. I was only getting the alarm at start up but I was getting the alarm every time I started it.

Thanks for the replies, I will also charge the batteries

Does it kill the audio as well? My X-10 will cut off the stereo and make the alarm tone if/when there's a voltage issue.

I did not have the radio on, but I have already changed the hot on my radio so that it stays on when the key is off. I just pulled it back to the marina to get checked over. I will report back what they think it was. I did check my batteries and both are fully charged, they are only a year old.

Thanks for all the replies back

turns out it was the new gauge, the module did not like it. Added another sending unit to handle the gauge and a sender unit to handle the module.
