So, I'm shopping for a graduation present...for myself.
I'm looking at blank skis right now since my Obrien bindings are still in good shape. Will Obrien bindings fit Radar or Connelly hole patterns? Balls of spray seems to say that not all rear bindings will fit a Connelly. Anyone know if that's true?

I may just cave and get a whole new setup but wouldn't mind saving a few hundred bucks on bindings.

PS - any new websites for great ski prices? Wakehouse has the best pricing I've seen besides ski it again.

I've got Connelly bindings on a radar ski if that helps. They fit up fine.

IMO if you're good enough at drilling blanks almost any boot could hypothetically fit almost any blank. Check with Wiley's to see if they can make it work. If you get lucky enough that they match up...good for you :toast:

So many skis have inserts now that if possible you would be further ahead to drill the plate so the ski is intact, imho. I drilled the skis in my youth, watched a guy drill to deep and ruin a ski once, try to avoid that.

If you're going Radar look into the Sequence Plate setup.

The hole patterns have changes over the years, but they have been fairly consistent in the past decade. If your ski is older then this, then you may need to redrill holes or look for older bindings. I run Radar bindings on a Connelly ski, but both were purchased in the last six years. The guys at Trophy Lakes can answer almost any of these mix/match questions too if you wanted to give them a call. They have been really helpful to me.
