Looking around the web, sunbrella fabric, basic cover/Bimini material seems to be minimal of $22 per yard for 46" width.

I am thinking of making a skirt for the boat to shield the hull from the sun while it is in the slip on the lift. It will hang from where the cover stops on the rail down close to the water. 46" length will be fine for what I need. Will sew in rope or something on the bottom to give it just enough weight to hang good.

I estimate needing about 55' length to allow for waist (doing three sides)

Anybody know of a source for less expensive fabric?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

I ordered a roll of sunbrella from these guys some time ago. At the time, it was competitive. But it's not an inexpensive fabric.

I bought mine at Sailmakers supply and had great luck with them twice. Better price and more color choices

I'll second Sailmakers Supply. I bought the water shedding Sunbrella material to make a bow cover last year. They sell snaps and tons of stuff as well. Great service and very helpful.
