Guys Im looking to find out when the last outboard MCs were made? what year? ill now explain why Im asking. I have had a lot of interest in mine and Im thinking of maybe selling it to upgrade to a slightly younger boat. im over the moon with the out board but im waying the cost of getting another boat from the USA and getting it water ready versus keeping mine. Ive had some good offeres and blokes have given me there numbers if I want to sell it they would buy it.

last of the outboards what year? what engine? and how much for the condition?

This is only an excersie of numbers at the moment. Shipping is roughly $3.5K Aus. and it would be around another $5K for import duties and tax. plus aound 1500 for rego and other small items.

Pristine BF200s are hard to come by, and when they go on the market they sell quickly. There are other great Barefoot boats out there too (Sanger, etc.) that may meet your needs.

I wonder what prompted them to make those boats in the first place...and then why they stopped? Even barefoot schools in FL still run 10+ year old boats.

I will echo the 1996 response.

The three questions I get almost every time I take the boat out is:

1. How fast does it go?

2. Are you interested in selling it?

3. Why did you convert an inboard to an outboard?

Sydney we might be interested in selling ours this year, if you're interested send me a PM.

To answer your question, the last outboards MC made were in production year 99, which was the Powerstar (98 to 99 life).

1997 did not have an outboard go thru production.

The last Barefoot 200s made were in 1996.

Boat rego and establishment fees $300

My custom rego labels $169

road worthy certificate fro the trailer needs to be done by mechanic $280

rego of the trailer $244

tyres on average $400

wheel bearings grease and seals say $150 (including the time to do them)

all up $1543 AUD... Ill admit this is only the first year to get everything done. but its still a cost.

But Mastercraft didn't make the Powerstar...
