I can't imagine living up north. Hell, Kansas City takes too long to get warm in the spring, I can't imagine having to wait til June.

Beautiful picture. I generally hate winter -- one reason I moved to FL -- but I don't mind it so much when I get to visit places like that.

I live in Ontario, and we are suffering this year. New MC coming from the factory as we speak and it is going to have to sit at the dealer until the darn lake thaws.

Wife is pressuring me big time to jump the border and move south.

You guys are whinging about winter? Are you kidding me? Id love to be able to ride powder like that here. our last season we were lucky to get a 8 feet of snow the whole season. Now dont get me wrong I love summer but if you guys were to spend a summer down here youd be begging to go back to the cold. our summer starts around september and doesnt finish until june. and most of the time you put the boat in the water in the morning ski until about10:30 in the morning and then you go and hide in the air conditioning until about 5 in the arvo and then go skiing again until dark. usually around 8:30 the boat comes out of the water. and trust me Ive skied at midday during january and its not pretty with 1 degree burns on your skin from the sun

You need to spend more time in the WATER mid-day :)

I'd kill for a summer that long.

And just like that, instantly hate this guy!!!!!:D

In all seriousness though, having summer all year round, while it may sound appealing at first, I'd be a little bored after the 5th year or so:D... Hell, I'd be happy with just a good, solid 4 months of it!!:)

And when you brave the run to the waters edge from the protection of the shade, you then can't touch the boat unless you want blisters.. That's also not fun.

That's only 82* F. Sounds about average for our lakes around here in the middle of summer.

I always found watersports in Canada to test my resistance to the cold temperatures the most. Other winter activities like snowboarding, sledding and hockey, you always have clothes on and I am usually hot and sweating. With watersports its usually board shorts and life jacket with the cool water right on my skin pulling heat out. - Brrr. Not a big fan of dry suits but I got them too. Looks like another weekend of sledding after seeing the forecast, cant even take the bikes out cause the snow is so deep in the mountains.

Living in texas, with the summers close if not just as hot as yours, I never wish for long winters. Lol was 61 degrees f today, little chilly.

Yeah, Alberta is not being kind to us this year. Central AB is supposed to be getting tons of snow this weekend. Sorry guys, I'm going to have to cross the border to have any outdoor fun anytime soon.

No need to cross the border. Here in Wisconsin, at least the northern part where my boat is, there is no sign of winter letting go either.

Its TRYING to turn here, but then the week things usually taper off. Going to pull my boat out and get the new alternator in, and hook up all the hosing/block plugs so when I'm ready to drop it in the water, it's a quick process. We're almost there!!

Its an Azimut 68 footer on Lewisville, with around 150k in stereo equipment on it. Has like 30 pro 80s and two of the mtx jackhammers in the back compartments.

I went up today to the family cottage... my boat is fully snowed in still. Be a while yet till I am out on the water. 3' of ice on the lake still. Two years ago we were open and on the water March 24th with our small scout!

Looks pretty darn similar to use... But our ice isn't that thick this year. Hopefully we're open by end on April again.
