Hi all....

I am purchasing a used MC in Jacksonville and found there is currently no dealer there. I know the dealership had changed hands several times over the past 10 years - does anyone know of a well qualified tech in the immediate area who could survey / go through this boat for me? Engine is an LQ9 so it is important to me that they be trained /certified for LQ9.

I am not familiar with this engine - my current boat has an LTR which has been very reliable - so I would also appreciate any feedback you might have on the LQ9.

Any help you can lend is most appreciated!

Thanks!

Even though BBMS is no longer a MC dealer, they should still be able to service and survey the boat you're looking at, no?

That was my initial thought as well but from their website, it looks like they do mostly motorcycles and have 3 techs. It may still be my best option - thanks much for your thoughts!

I'd get with Lake Area Watersports in Melrose to have one of their techs come look at the boat for you.

There is also Ski Boat Solutions in Ocala. Not MC but could take a look at it for ya.

^+1 on Lake Area Watersports. They have been there awhile and do good service work. Had the Owner meet me with a new raw water pump one Sunday morning when we were renting a lake place near there for the week. The fact that they had one in stock and knew exactly what I needed from a phone call impressed me, along with the Sunday morning service.

They service a lot of lakefront owners in the area that don't have trailers.
