What do you guys think of Motorkote? On sale 20% off at Meyers and 10.00 rebate. Is this stuff for real or just another oil additive with outrageous claims.

Use a quality oil, change it regularly, and sleep soundly........ Most, if not all, of these "additives" are a complete waste of money. Some are even harmful. (Ie. thicken the oil too much, and cause excessive wear on cold startup) There were ways to improve conventional oil in the 60s,70s, and 80s. However, new, high grade oils have everything they need, already in the bottle. If you really want the best wear protection, run a high grade full synthetic. Skip the gimmicks

a little extra money for Valvoline VR-1 goes a long way in my book.

*not all boats need VR-1. This is not an endorsement of the Valvoline Product. Your results may vary. Not valid in all fifty-seven states.
