You guys with open bows, do you trailer with the window open or closed?

Closed....even though there is a snap to hold it open I've always been afraid of it bouncing or worse, catching wind and slamming shut into thousands of pieces..

Closed! I worry about a cross wind slamming the window shut breaking the glass. I don't trust that strap to keep it held down.

Close it and put the wind dam insert in if you have one. Keeps crap from whipping around in the cabin and bugs off your vinyl.

Always closed, no cover. Even though this happened once in 13 years of towing, I still keep it closed.

It was a flook that someone decided to pass me on a two lane load and kicked up a rock as they cross the center.

Closed when the cover is off. But I usually tow with the cover on.

I always tow with it closed, but I have noticed many boats on the highway towing with it open. Is there a benefit to this?

Closed ... and I bought a bow cover for my open bow that I usually snap in so I have the whole bow closed ... I don't really know why but I think it helps keep a few less things outside of the vinyl and back of the boat.

Closed with the air dam closed also. If I leave it open, my coffin seat occasionally opens up on its own. I also have an issue with the air dam popping open on bumpy roads. I found a rubber piece that I cut a slot into and wedge it into the air dam to hold it closed while trailering.

Had my back seat fly out with the window closed.

And speaking of air dams....anyone know where to get one for the 205v hull?

Well - to each their own I guess. I've always towed open.... Was open from South Carolina - to MN when I bought my X1 / and still always tow with it open. I guess mine is rarely closed even when I'm using the boat....

I tow with mine open most of the time. I almost never close the front window. I always put the cooler in front of the rear seat. That seems to keep air from getting under it and causing it to fly out.

I tow with it closed, but my fail safe is the bimini strapped down upfront would cover me from it slamming in the event I forgot to close it.

I'm sure you could just get one made at any alterations or upholstery shop.
