Anyone know of a god place to have a Family reunion of about 30-50 ppl on LBJ? We rented a couple of houses last year at Granburry and ended up bending a prop due to the low lake levels. So considering we will be traveling from west texas LBJ would be the next closest ,lake with water! Thanks

yep, we go there all the time. Rio Vista Resort, they have various accomodations (houses, townhome, mobile homes, smaller cottages) & prices including RV pads/connections if you or someone in your family has an RV or travel trailer ... lighted/baited fishing dock, boat slips to rent, swimming pool, hot tub, BBQ pits, picnic tables, recreation room ... very reasonable rates for what we have found. Our group rarely ever exceeds about 4-5 familys or 15-20 people and I believe depending on time of year, they can easily accomodate your group.

we have rented the Guadalupe Lake House (single wide mobile home with deck by lake) and taken our travel trailer there numerous times.

I can also give you some pointers on where to go and NOT to go all over LBJ ... I grew up on it dating back into the 1960s and it's our main go-to lake for an all day trip.

there are some log cabins for rent up the Colorado river arm, I think they have 15-20 cabins available. The river can get a little rough on summer weekends though. The lake has gotten really crowded since 2011, guess people are figuring out we have water.

Tommy is so right...We try and go every year and have noticed the increase. You used to be able to take a barefoot run at almost any time of day...not so much anymore!
