Folks,

After almost a year of looking, and many years of wanting one, I brought home a nice MC Pro Star 190 this weekend.

1987 model, with the 351W, powerslot, and 629 hours on her as of yesterday.

Exterior is an 8/10 - needs a minor polish and wax to bring back to full sheen, and a little chrome polish.

Interior is an 7/10 - still has the original upholstery except the navigators seat bottom. I can probably get another 2-3 years out of the interior before new skins are required. Carpet is in good shape. Engine is spotless, and I think you could eat off the bilge floor.

Trailer is in great shape as well, with newer tires and wheels, and LED lighting. The bunks need to be recarpeted soon, but that's my biggest thing.

Everything works, other than a lazy speedometer. Also got a barefoot boom, and a couple water toys with it. I love the color combo - a dark blue over light gray. Took her out for her first run last night, and she runs great. Looking forward to getting on the water this summer.

Great colors. I'm a sucker for the blue MC's. Ever since my first ride on a blue 2001 205V with tower. And now my blue Maristar. Blue is the way to go!.

Now, how many powerturns did you do?

The last picture is a good one. I did the exact same photo on the first launch of my last two boats. The wake (or lack of it) is what we skiers want to see. Have a good summer in your new ride.

Congrats on your purchase! My buddy had an '87 in those same colors, great boat!
I was just talking to a former MC rep and he likes the 87-90 wake the best. Your last picture shows why he would say that!

Congrats on the new boat, my first was an '89 ski centurion and I always wished it was a Mastercraft, 19 years later it finally was :) Have fun, we still have several feet of ice on our lakes!

Congrats to you...welcome to the family/addiction. By the way, don't worry about the non-working speedo, I don't think I've ever had a working one. Bad speedos make better drivers...you have to drive by the feel.

Saw that on CL for a bit. Assume you'll be on falls.

ooks like either Falls or Jordan in the picture?

First pic in the water appears to be the first turn out of bartons and the 2nd appears to be past the first main "X" passing the island. If I'm right the water is HIGH

Congradulations! That boat is a dead ringer for my 1988. I had the boat for 22 years so I did like it. Those years had I good wake and you can add weight and wakeboard with it. Great all around boat.

Yup, it's Falls... Bartons Creek area... Let me know when you wanna go out. Been around boats all my life, but driving this is like going from my Dodge Ram to a Porsche... definitely have a steep learning curve... especially in reverse!!! LOL

You know Falls lake well... yeah... with all the rain and the snow... the lake is pretty high. Quite a few logs floating around. Just went for a quick sunset cruise on Sunday evening. Wish the water were warm enough to ski - it was glass...

Soon enough...

I live about 5 min from Bartons. We usually have a floatilla early in the season and throw something up on the boards. You'll see us out there in a yellow x9 w/ a black tower if we still have it then.

Nice boat. As far as reverse goes you will soon learn that it's not a handicap like you might think. You can actually use the physics of reverse to do what you want with it. Such as a little nose into the dock, turn slight right and then his reverse to slow the back end up for perfect parallel parking.

It actually turns into a very good advantage. Because you know exactly how your boat will react every time.
