This site has been tremendously helpful in helping to sort out all the variables and options of putting a boat together. Iíve read through hundreds of threads and looked at as many photos of beautiful boats. There is truly a wealth of knowledge contained within the postings on this site.

So I thought I would do my little part and post up some build photos as everyone seems to love those.

Thanks guys.

More to follow.

What are your guys' thoughts on the use of filler in the chines?

What's that white stuff on the bottom mold, any idea?

From MasterCraft, "We just applied the ceramic layer to the side walls of your hull. This is done to serve as a protective barrier for the gel coat and against the natural chemical heat that comes from hand laying the sheeted fiberglass" Not sure on the white stuff.

That's what I was thinking, but why there?

Strakes are puttied due to their small radii, without the putty the laminate would not be able to be rolled in tight to the mold and would result in air voids and resin buildup. This is standard practice throughout the industry.

Learned something new, Thanks!

I think it's more of a Michigan Wolverines color combo and I like it. Captain Planet seems too like it a bunch too!! :D

If you have not been in a boat that has had the BTS you just don't understand the functionality of it. The ease of entering at the drivers seat, pulling up to the dock and just reaching out to grab it, or talking to a rider next to the boat. I will say that I was not a fan of it until I used it on the lake last year at Norris. A friend had a 2013 X10 with it. When we got to the house and I saw it I was giving him crap about it. All he said is wait till the end of the week and then tell me how you feel about it. I changed my mind.

Thanks guys, appreciate the comments. I think the Navy could stand to have some flake in their jets, but that was not the angle I was going for. And it is, as mentioned, the 7.4l engine.

Re the choice of BTS; the only reason at this point to go with a wraparound windshield would be for aesthetics. I noticed no difference in wind entering the boat between the two. As was mentioned, the functionality of the BTS is significant. If you hop from driving a BTS boat to a wraparound boat you can't believe how much the wraparound is in your way.
