Funny two different dealers swore to me this couldn't be done this morning. Great news though thanks to MC for stepping up!

No fault of the dealers. We have been telling them that because we wanted to make sure we could do it. But rest assured, we heard you guys and are stoked to be able to offer Gen 2 on some 2013 MC's.

Thanks for your patience as we took the appropriate time to make sure everything worked!

As far as I'm concerned MC should update the boats for free. Everyone one that bought a boat in 2013 spent probably close to 100k on a boat. That's the least that MC should do for people that but there boats. I'm not worried about the bags as much as I am the tabs. The software should be no different as the tabs do the same thing they did before

That's just like the 2012s that were stuck with the old screen and software. It really pisses me off that I spent over 100k on a Boat to be told oo well if you want the new systems buy a new boat. When I am in the market to buy a new boat in a few years I'm not sure MC will be in the talks after what I have dealt with as far as custermer services goes and the lack of wanting to satisfy the people who buy their boats and who truly sell their boats to other boaters.

I have to say that I'm actually impressed that they are offering this to 2013 owners.

Malibu and Supra are NOT offering this to their previous season owners and MC didn't "Have too" offer it, they chose too. It will probably be expensive, but everything wake boat related is.

I'm excited to hear what people have to say about the new system after actually using it. I'm of the mind where if its "very close" to the quality of wave as a nicely listed boat, than I'm all in, but if listing the boat will produce a much better wave, than that is how I will continue to set mine up. I guess a demo would tell me :)

But MCdave, I totally understand. If I hadn't upgraded from my 2012 to a 2013 I'd be feeling the same way as you.

^^now MC did offer me virtually what I paid for my 2012 to get me into a 2013. I guess that was stepping up. At any rate, I'm glad for the upgrade.

Like GM should update all the guys that bought 2013 Sierra's and Silverado's only to have them totally changed in 2014!!! New body styles and engines for everyone!!!!

Yeah that's the retail price which means the dealer is going to charge 8k US. So that's going to cost you 11k!!

The exact reason that I have been waiting to buy a new GM truck. But I do have to say that my 2012 software has been fixed and works perfectly. I probably should have made the switch but is love my x45. Thought long and hard about the 2014 X46 but the rear seats are awful and you pretty much have no room for big ballast bags.

I just wish they would offer a gen2 tab for the x45 but I know that's impossible. Sucks for those x45 owners that bought a boat In 2013 that aren't getting retro fitted.

Anyone have info in the tabs for the 2013 x45s? Are those owner outta luck too? I think I would be even more mad had I upgraded to a 2013 to find out they aren't retro fitting them.

If I had a 2013 I would wait until you could demo/see the gen2 in action. We really don't know how it's going to be besides a few iPhone vids and promotional ads. I did add it to my 2014 in hopes it is great but mostly bc I knew I would need it for resale. Just a thought.

Well maybe my thought is pointless with a gurantee like this. Doesn't apply to 2013 but that's a bold enough statement.

I have been following this some, but have not read all posts. Is there any glass work involved in retrofitting? If so how much?

Tabs are wider, different and more screws to the hull, different (lower) hull mounting point of the actuator.
platform needs to be lifted, via new brackets or spacers

Me too with the 12s running medallion. My dealer told me that the medallion folks are not that eager to help MC these days.

It does while underway...... Still ballasted evenly and floating level while at rest though.

That's the way I understood it as well. I don't think they ever said your boat would ride evenly when running. At rest, yes. Going down the water at 11.2 MPH, nope.
I never worried about driving the boat leaned way over, it was the stopping, turning around parking while going for a quick swim that used to freak me out. This (along with the other systems out there) seems to be the cure.

I read the WW post and he sort of skipped over the X10 with gen2 on it. Said they tested it with the 800 lbs of stock ballast but the gen2 system ballast tops out at 1900 lbs. So not really a apples to apples comparison there which is why I guess he glossed over it. However, when you add Ragboy's 400 lbs of girth (from the writeup) maybe it was closer to apple to apples than first thought.

Was interesting that he noted it does list the boat whereas with surfgate and NSS it does not. This is interesting as most of us don't want to compromise too much on quality of wake which is supposedly better when listed.

I do have the pro-package with the 7" screen. I also already have additional sacks plumbed in. Just would need the tabs and update of software I guess.
