May I ask, are you looking to purchase a 1998 sportstar in Central Fl? If you are feel free to PM me about that boat. If not, then you'll have to get the seat made because MC doesn't make anything thats passed 5 years from the current model year. Basically, the seat is all cushion/padding/foam covered in matching vinyl

I maybe able to help

I think I have some rear seat bases

If in fact you are looking at the Sportstar in Florida...white with a small purple stripe

Looks pretty rough!!!

Have you actually seen the boat? What is so rough about it? Do you think it is worth the price? What else would I need besides the base. Could I have it made?

Steve

That boat probably has the 305 260 HP instead of the base 310 RTP.

10 hours of clean up and buffing you could have a clean boat. A new waterpump is right at $200.

Offer less..alot seems cosmetic. Make sure you come home with a matching clean title

The owner has religiously listed it on craigslist almost every other day since August of 2011. It hasn't sold for a good reason.
If you are interested, Offer a lot less. Be sure to see it in person and test drive it. Ski behind it if you can since it does only have chevy 305/260 HP. I didn't even make an offer after my test drive. It was pretty easy to walk away and continue my search. I wanted a boat that was taken care of and something that had records of maintenance and this boat definelty didn't have it.
Also, this owner purchased the boat from a repo auction.
good luck

Is this the ad? If so, 305 engine. Owner says it does 48 mph??? I say not!

You're pretty far away from FLA, I would think you could find a cleaner Prostar with a 350 engine for a little more $$. (1994-1996 maybe) Looks like this was used as a wakeboard machine by some young people. It may be worth $6K in my book.

Thanks for the pics. I think I will pass on this boat.
